What’s going on?
Your family is a system, but the system is broken. You all need each other but you’re not able to talk constructively right now. There’s so much anger, confusion and anxiety that you feel totally stuck and don’t know where to turn.
How I can help
The therapy room is a safe space for you and your family. With the security and safety this provides, we can talk about what you are all worried and scared about, supporting you and showing everyone that progress is possible. We’ll talk about behaviour, moods and feelings, and will work towards understanding how these can impact other people. We won’t shy away from difficult feelings and will discuss any sense of loss, grief, blame and guilt that you may be dealing with.
With the work we do in the room, you’ll all feel more able to explore your issues, develop new tools and strategies, and become more confident listening and communicating effectively and healthily.
When our sessions end
In time, the curiosity, attentiveness and support you show each other in therapy will extend to the outside world, and your family system will improve so you can each learn to develop, explore and resolve conflicts independently.
